Hi,
I skipped the intro splash page to look at angelsociety.us I don't live in a major metropolitan area in the US and I am able to connect at only 21.6 over the telephone line.
I used my watch to time the page loading times of html page at: http://www.angelsociety.us/redone/home.htm
- 30 seconds before something on the screen was viewable, or not blank
- 2 minutes 44 seconds for everything except "because we care" image rotator to load
- 6 minutes 29 seconds to completely load the page.
These page load times seem a little long to me. I would expect someone in a more urban area with better phone lines could connect at twice the speed and the load times would be just under half of what I exerienced.
I think these might have to do with the 6 animations on that page.
- twinkling starfield background
- rotating globe in upper left corner
- scrolling text bar
- "because we care" rotating images in upper right corner (longest load time)
- book pages flipping animation center right
- about us circle with angel animation lower right
I also like to right click on home page links and open all the links in separate/new windows that look interesting/useful at once. The top menu bar does not allow this, only to save the images/background, etc. The lower menu bar does all right clicking to open link in new window.

Not bad, it is an interesting site. I enjoy the multimedia.
Here are just a few suggestions after looking over the site briefly.
I think it is too busy. Too many things are going on at the same time. Not only do all the animations take a while to load, as was mentioned earlier, but I found it distracting. I prefer your www.ymisitio.com site because it is much more focused. The action is only in one place at a time.
On some of your pages the sound it going continuously. It would be nice to have the option of turning the sound on/off.
I found the text was sometimes difficult to read (the date on the "Home" page, for example). I would suggest using colors for the text that provide more contrast.
I would also suggest making the site more search-engine friendly. Rather than titles that are simply "Mission", "Volunteer", "Home", etc. you could add keywords/description to the titles. I noticed also that none of the pages used META tags. I think our manual ( http://se.westhost.com/mmanual.html ) goes over website marketing well.

One thing that I would suggest is to avoid the use of too much flash. Search engines can't index the flash content, so to attain good search rankings flash just won't be able to do it. Another thing I would suggest is like mentioned above load times for dialup users are slow when it comes to flash. Most of the people who do browse the internet are still on dialup, so I would strongly encourage the use of HTML and CSS rather than FLASH, because you can accomplish a lot of the same things with quick loading times.
I really don't mean to be rude, but thought I would pass on my reaction to sites that play music without asking me first - I always close the browser immediately. It seems so intrusive to have music start without my consent - especially since I often surf late at night when others are sleeping. It's late now, so I couldn't look at the rest of your site because I didn't want to wake anyone.
Thanks guys and gals for the suggestions, I really appreciated it....Well, I took some advice in regards to loading time for the SITE and I completely redid the HTML SITE part of my SITE, I found it to take to long to load with the gif planets, therefore, I simplified it.....I also, redid my INTRO page and simplified it....Here are the links to it....Tell me what u think.......
