ASP on WH servers

Hi, I'm really new to this ASP on WH servers which i've just subscribed. A client of ours developed themselves the entire site in asp with scripts & connections to mssql database.

For the database i requested them to set a tcp/ip connection for to another windows server that house the database. While the hosting of the sites & scripts remain on WH servers.

I've just tested a enquiry form that uses the asp script & it returned a result Post method not allowed.

Can anyone please explain as to what extent I can host ASP on WH servers?

WestHost uses GNU/Linux-based servers. ASP is a product of Microsoft which runs on Windows Servers. Here on GNU/Linux we usually use Perl (http://www.perl.org), PHP (http://www.php.net), Python (http://www.python.org) et cetera. In my opinion, GNU/Linux and Perl/PHP/Python are very much superior to MS-Windows and ASP. If you know ASP, you will be able to learn PHP very easily, so I suggest you rewritting the scripts in PHP. I don't know whether you can execute ASP on GNU/Linux systems, but it may be possible if someone has written a software that does this. In this case you would need to install this software on your account.
