After the conversion to Webhost2.0 the connection to mysql inside my perl program doesn't work any more. as soon as I type
use DBI;
the program stops working. any idea?
make sure you have installed mysql, perl and the perl option for mysql in your control panel.
I need some serious help with mysql. Here is the problem:
1) If I login with an ssh client using the new password that westhost gave me after the 2.0 upgrade, I can access mysql just fine.
2) If I login from my php scripts using the new password it fails.
3) If I login from my php scrips using the old password, it will allow me to query the databases for reading only. If I try to INSERT INTO TABLE... it will not return anything.
I really need to have my users login from the php script. Help please!

Indeed, after installing "Perl - MySQL Libs" under "database" my site has been up and running again. mysql and perl were already installed when they moved to the new system.
