Best Summer Movie

I have to be selective which movies I go see these days as I rarely feel that my $7 was worth the movie I just watched so I want everyones opinions and help as to which movies are worth it. So far I have only really seen the Hulk, and I thought it was good (I felt it was probably worth the admission).

I hear good things about that Johnny Depp movie "Pirates of the Caribean", but every commercial I've seen looks kind of stupid. Is it really worth it or should I just wait to rent it?

What about League of Extrordanary Gentlemen? I never read comic books growing up, but I still thought Spiderman and Hulk were good, is LXG good too?

I have also heard good things about Finding Nemo, I'm sure I'll end up going to it (maybe wait for the dollar theatre).

If you've seen any of the other big ones, let me know how they are and if they are worth it.

Yo JD!

Long time since we last talked. Remember me from college?

The best movie this summer was, without a doubt, The Italian Job. Even worth seeing twice.

As to your question on Pirates of the Carribean, JD, it's worth going to the matinee, if you can. It's debateable whether or not it's worth $7.

Hey Jlavarj, it has been a long time, did that rash ever clear up?

Thanks for the tip there Dromed, I'll have to check out the Italian Job now, and also I'll take your advice about the movie pirates of the caribean...

Yo JD!

The rash is clearing up slowly. Man, I'll never do that again!

Pirates of the Carribean rocked. Did anyone else see it? Johnny Depp and Geof Rush were incredible. I need to see that one again, in the theater, not some hand cammed rip off, JD.

I saw Pirates of the Caribean, I was entertained until the end. I won't ruin the ending for those that have not seen it, but I'll just say I was really disapointed by it and they should have ended them movie better than that...

c'mon jdbaker, what are you talking about. The ending was just fine. I don't see how that could have been done any better. I have never been in favor of a predictable ending.

Neo

The ending was horrible, tried to tie up too many loose ends. I can't be the only one that hated the ending? Are there others out there that feel the same way?

Baaa. The italian jobs looks bad, might give a go though :P
I bet mini paid that movie a crapload to drive everywhere in those mini coopers... I liked Equilibrium, one of my favourite movies this summer, lots of holes in it but still very entertaining with an interesting message.

Pirates of the Carribean was funky, the light/dark skeleton fighting scenes at the end was a nice touch, lots of holes in that movie as well...
But nevertheless pretty good.

What else is coming out that promises to be good?
