Forum Hosting

Hi Guys I have hosting for my forum since a week ago my host told me im using to much cpu usage minutes a day (im allowed 60 & im using 130 a day) I've paid 2 years in advance for hosting. Soo I'll have to find new forum host which do you guys use? Which do you recommend? Tech wise dont know much still learning, How easy is it to move my forum to new host, backup etc.

Do you know your current traffic detail, disk space usage, banwdith usage? Also, how many members do you normally have online at once?

It is probably not a "big forum" if you're only using 130 minutes a day.

I use 1and1 and made2own.

I have seen shared hosts kick forum sites with as little as constant 30-40 users online. If you have this problem and are not busy enough for a dedicated server you should look into a VPS.

I suggest Site5 web hosting.

My database size is 100mb

10 - 30 users online at 1 time.

When I started out using Venture Online they ended up telling me I had to upgrade after I had about 40 concurrents. I think I paid $24.95/mo and service there was pretty good when they were not cramming the servers, but I decided it would be better to just go dedicated. If VPS had been as popular back then as it is now I would have gone that direction but no regrets. ;)

Yeah, that seems to be the number depending on the options enabled and hacks intalled.
