My Links opens in new window

This feature is really cool, but it has the annoying feature of always opening the link in a new window.... would it be possible to switch it so that the link opens in the same window? If I use it alot, it starts to become obnoxious really fast ;)

B-Con,

You're a firefox user, are you not? Click using ctrl and open it in a new tab

It's still annoying do that though :)

The admins probably don't want to give users an excuse to exit the site. That's why sig links open in new windows too, im guessing.

sig and text links opening in one window make sense, but I My Links is only supposed to be for links within the forum (otherwise you'd be using bookmarks) and when you jump from the Lounge to C programming to the Shoutbox to Windows, it's annoying to close every window your linking from....

I use the control panel to jump around subscribed forums, same window

I could, but I usually have limited time and surf in a hurry, so going back to the CP slows it down alot.... also, I never subscribe to threads....

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I have discovered a way to open my links in the same window - bit weird and dont' know whether it is a fluke or not.

I have found that if I click one of "my Links" on the very right edge of the actual link, it opens in the same window. If I click on link in the middle, it is a new tab.....

Bizarre or what?
Does this happen to anyone else?

Yeah, it appears that you must click on the actual word for it to open in a new window.
