Collapsable categories

This would be a simple vB template modification since vB comes with all the javascript necessary to do this, so I was hoping you coudl add the ability to collapse categories on the main page. I like seeing the category with the lounge in it, and i like to hang around the PHP dev forums, but they are on opposite sides of the forum! I'd love it if i could minimize the categories in between.

We try to avoid loading the pages with JS as it has a tendency to slow down most browsers. Not a bad idea tho.

You could always subscribe without email notification to both forums and just hang around the UserCP instead....

yea what computer said :)

y'know you could've just rep++ me for that :p...

Yeah - just use the usercp - that way you can avoid all the windows help and SEO forums :)

I would like to see the shoutbox as an option on the usercp.

Is that really necessary, though? That would be such a pain.

why is it a pain?

just subscribe to the forums you want and the UserCP will become bit like index.php just with your rep and stuff.

I don't know, it just seems unnecessary.

If they're worried about how much JS they use, then how come they allow the shoutbox and all that stuff to be collapsable?

wait a second, just to clarify:
There are forums outside the Lounge? :eek:

this might be worth looking into....

[edit]
never mind, all the other forums seem to have, um, what do you call it, "content guidelines" and "troll-unfriendly polocies" :(
