The Dev Shed community will be down for scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, September 1st between the hours of 3pm and 5pm EDT (UTC - 4:00).
During that time we'll be upgrading from vBulletin 4.2.0 to 4.2.3. By vBulletin standards, this is considered to be a minor update and is mainly for bug fixes. It is my hope that this upgrade may resolve some of the recent bugs reported by our users, or open up new avenues of attack for our tech team to eliminate them from.
Our tech team has tested the upgrade process on a test server and everything went smoothly, so we anticipate few if any disruptions after the live upgrade is completed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. I apologize that we have to take a short down time, but I believe the board will be improved by it!

We experienced an unforeseen database issue during the upgrade. We were able to recover the database issues, but needed to postpone the upgrade.
Unfortunately this means that we'll need to schedule another time to fully upgrade the database to 4.2.3 - but fortunately it means that forum usage should return to a totally normal state in the meantime!
