On fighting the penguin though, I had nothing but my weapon.

Clearly the thing is killable, but I'm confused about the speciality thing.

With the way you guys just plow through things, you need more of a challenge. Hence, no specials are allowed when fighting the penguin.

I only got the amulet after about 5 dks. Do you really think my forest fights run out before my amulet does? Of course not. After the amulet is done, I fight on my own. I die to the doppleganger occasionally.
Edit: You don't think the amulet is really still that useful, do you? At lower dks, it's amazing, but now, not so much. At lower levels it hardly works (ie, a bit under half my fights are not perfect) and at higher levels it gives a lot of perfect fights but it's not like I actually require them for experience - I just milk the extra kills/gems. The really important places it doesn't even help at all, because it's not good enough or because it's been disabled, with the exception being the green dragon.
