Support,

You mention the path to perl on westhost 2 is now /bin/perl and you alias the /usr/bin/perl

For the future are you going to continue to alias /usr/bin/perl? I ask as the majority of scripts use either:

/usr/bin/perl
or
/usr/local/bin/perl

I have 100's of cgi scripts on my bulletin board and they do not support a /bin/perl so will you continue the alias for all time?

According to one of their first e-mail they stated that the old path would continue to work on the old scripts indefinatly. I plan on going through all my scripts and changeing the path once the dust settles just incase.

Does anyone have any idea where the "proper" place is under all those new non-public directories to put my non-public data files for my perl scripts. This thing is like a maze and I don't want to do it twice. It seems to be using the originals now. Is that temporary? They appear to be in a different local but who knows the way they are masking things. This has been big trouble for me and 500 members since all was not transferred or if it was, it was hidden away somewhere in that maze.

They must be getting trounced in support because they have not answered my "emergency" request for at least 24 hours.

These redirects are wired in via your new control panel. If you go to your Control Panel-->Domain Management-->Web Aliases you will see the aliases that are set up to allow your existing cgi scripts to see the new file locations. I'd say it's best not to change these but you can also add new ones if you need to.
