Good image gallery software?

Can anyone recommend a good image gallery script that they have successfully installed here on WestHost 2.0?

A free script is ideal.

Thanks,

Maida

My maida you are working on all kinds of things with your site your all over the board looking for stuff.... :) and doing a good job of working things out I might add.

I don't know if you are using phpBB at all but if you go to thier site I know there are some mods for the Board that add a gallery to it. I may be a place to start and ofcourse it is all free. If you hunt around in there board you can even find other sites that have alot of stuff. Look for users that develop mods for the board and see if there are urls in their sigs.

I know Torrin was looking at adding a gallery to his site. Maybe he will chime in. Don't know if he has added one yet or not.

P.S. If you get stuck and can't find anything let me know. I use a gallery on a couple of my sites but they are tied in with other features so would take some hacking to work independently. I don't have the time to work on it now or real fast but like I said if you get stuck.

I know...I have several clients with different needs, and I just work on things as they come up.

For my own image galleries, as well as the commerical sites for my clients, I just use Photoshop and Homesite.

Since the pictures this one particular clients wanted to share was for friends and family only, I just told her to sign up with Ofoto and use their bandwidth/server space.

Simple, easy and free.

Why reinvent the wheel, right?

Thanks for the offer though! I really appreciate it. :)

I'm still looking for a good, free reliable calendar script that someone has implemented on WestHost 2.0 that allows clients to add/edit their own events. (See http://forums.westhost.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1021)

I have been a loyal YaBB user for many years now...so maybe I'll look around and see if they have a calendar mod.

Thanks for the info,

Maida

Nope, I haven't added yet. I decided to wait for my conversion to Westhost 2.0 before doing it. I already submitted that I wanted to change. I think that was about a week ago.

It looks like you've decided not to do this. If you change your mind, the gallery I want to use is located at http://gallery.sourceforge.net.

I'm just doing a test install of that [Gallery] on my home machine, impressive installation procedure, seems to check what is and isn't there.
A bit overwhelming in some ways. But, it took about 30 minutes to setup. Of course, the long work will be getting photos into it. I'd rather have some way of just uploading all the photos and then putting them into the gallery...
