Formmail 500 error fix

Be sure that the recipient has FTP access enabled.

I was getting a 500 error using the built-in formmail with WH 2.0, and the original file from Matt's Script Archive. I examined the error logs and tried various sendmail settings. I finally stumbled upon the fix from a posting about cgiemail.

I post this to help anyone in the future with any problems using formmail :-)

Yes, it fixes the problem... but I want to send some forms to emails that are not hosted in my server... :(

Can you use an alias?

Mmm setup an alias and activate ftp for that? Let me try...

Aliases don't have FTP.

But sending a form to an outside email address shouldn't be a problem, as long as its in the recipient lists.

And I strongly recommend using NMS Formmail (http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net) as being more flexible and secure.

Looks nice... I'll give it a try
