I am trying to setup RSS on my personal website so that I can aggregate news sources. Can anybody here provide some examples and suggest some code to do this? I am not very experienced with perl and SSI but can figure it out if I spend some time.

Are you trying to aggregate other news sources and display their summaries on your site, or trying to publish your site as an RSS feed so others can subscribe to it? There are scripts out there that can do both.
