SSH Keys

Has anyone else been having problems with using SSH keys to automate the (SSH) log in process?

Mine have not been working for several weeks - WestHost has looked into it and they responded that it has been re-enabled for all servers (was disabled for some reason during maintenance in early June).

WestHost has replied saying that they've fixed the problem - but I am still getting the "Server refused our key" error message while logging in.

BTW: I am talking about the method as detailed on Jalal's page (http://codeworks.gnomedia.com/westhost/ssh.php).

Never mind - CHMOD'ing the .ssh directory to 700 fixed the problem. Weird - CHMOD 600 was what I had always been using, and for some reason now that doesn't work. Oh well.

I'd like to automate the login, and did as described in Jalal's page but when I connect it will always ask for the password... so it's not working. any idea? do i have to recreate the keys?

Does it say "Server refused our key"? Has it ever worked? Are you using your username in the format "domainname@domainname.com"?
