FrontPage client side

:D Hello, I am a new West Host customer and trying to get a new web site up. I see the Front Page instructions for uploading a site in the online manual and also the Front Page extensions that can be added to the web host. Is it the customer's responsibility to purchase a copy of client FrontPage for web site composition? If so, can anyone recommend a different, low cost solution for web building, i.e. Netscape Composer (I'm not sure that's even offered anymore). Please bear with me, it's been awhile since I've done this sort of thing.

Any help anybody can give me on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

FrontPage Extensions are provided with your westhost account. They just need to be installed. But FrontPage is not a FREE program provided to users who paid for WestHost Packages. Your going to have to get a copy of it somewhere else if you want to use it. There was a version of FrontPage a while back called Lite which was FREE, but did not have most of the features it has now. Still you might be able to find a copy on the web.

I like FrontPage for designing sites. But just one free program you may want to check out is: www.openoffice.org. Included in the download you also have a website builder. But with most of the other programs out there you still need to build the site and then fool around with FTP to upload it, FrontPage 2000 and higher does all that for you!
