FrontPage doesn't allow me to see the root directory.

I'm using FrontPage 2003 and am wondering why I cannot see up to the root directory when transferring files to the server? It prevents me from going any higher than mydomain.com ...two folders lower than if I use an FTP program. Is there a way to "go up two more folders?"

I am afraid I don't use Front Page but normally such programs have some type of setting when you set up the "connection" that controls the remote directory you go to when you log in. It would need to be set to something like / or left blank.

The WH documentation (http://www.helpdocs.westserver.net/v3/sitemanager/FrontPage.htm) mentions Publish Destination and that it should be set to: http://www.yourdomain.com and NOT ftp.yourdomain.com
Is that what you have? Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I am not sure you really want to use Front Page to navigate folders above the public www root. Many of the files above that could be messed up if you modified them in FP. You might want to simply stick with your FTP program when you need to deal with those files.
