Moblin vs. Windows Embedded

Do these things compete? I guess so. In which case, it seems like the primary advantage of Moblin is the focus on user interface: features-at-the-ready, large icons, lots of ability to accomodate prebuilt UI components and widgets.

That seems a clear win for systems that people are going to use on the go or in vehicles. How easy would it be for Windows Embedded to catch that advantage with a similarly generalized and open application UI framework?

Well, Moblin is a lot more than Clutter. And Clutter (to me) seems more practical than XAML for rich UI development, though there's no question you can make shiny UIs in Windows CE Embedded (see http://www.microsoft.com/video/en/us/details/8f51878c-fd0d-46ea-b5c2-82215564fbdd?vp_evt=eref&vp_video=User+Interface+Technologies+for+Windows+Embedded+CE ). The thing is that Moblin has a lot more going on under the hood than just UI. Linux, for one thing. (grin)

You guys have the same join date, the same post count and the same grammatical style(and flaws). That's so cute.

I bet if you tickle one of them the other one will giggle.
