Develop for Iphone with Windows

Hi,

I want to develop an application for iPhone but I don't have a MAC. Are there any tools available for developing on Windows and still being able to submit it to the APP Store? I am not interested in developing only for jailbreak iphones.

Thanks

You don't need a Mac to develop for Android.

the answer to developing an app for the iphone on Windows is dragonfiresdk. It doesn't require jailbroken devices, do you know c/c++?

Hey doug4knfpu
Yes you can create Android apps over Windows PC. The SDK is free to download over developer.android website. You need to have knowledge of Java for coding.
You can also create Android apps using HTML5, for that you have to add additional third party framework like PhoneGap.

All the best for your app projects. :)

Hey jadelola
The official SDK provided by Apple does not work on Windows PC. And I will not even suggest you to try another SDK as that may not provide you proper functionality that official one offer.

Tried that, then I gave up and bought a mac.

If you are running VM of Mac OS then you need to have really good Windows machine. Even in that case you will not get nice experience as Xcode will not run smoothly.

Even if you wish to use it over Windows then check this link

Yes, you can develop it in cross platform tools like Phone Gap or Adobe Air.

I would strongly advise against trying to develop native iOS apps on any other platform other than a Mac. People have been trying to do this for years, and the fact remains that you'll just have struggles if you try to force it. Many things rely on the Mac software, especially if you're going to use Interface Builder or Application Loader.

You should be able to suffice with a regular MacBook or Mac Mini (don't try to let the folks at the Apple stores tell you that you need an uber-powerful Mac to do dev work). I do all my dev work on my Mac Mini with not great specs, and it works fine for using Xcode and/or App-Code as an IDE.

There are numerous 3rd party mobile application development frameworks, such as Titanium, Kony, Xamarin, etc.. that will allow you to develop iOS apps in different languages on Windows.
