This is my first post here and I'm not really sure where I should post this problem. So I'll start here and hope to be redirected to a more suitable forum section if needed. To make it clear I have close to none programming and coding skills but I'm a fast learner.
What I want to do is to make a database search engine that would firstly work as an app but would be easy to implement to a website later.
It would not be a "free" search, you have to choose your search criterias from a list or with auto-fill for example. The top search would then be the search(es) that fulfill all the criterias and second the search(es) that fill all but one and so on.
Think a "what can I make with these ingredients" recipe search. I see it like all results would be a page that has tags, these tags would in this example be, ingredients. Don't know if this is the most effective though, just an idea.
Can I use excel maybe? Or is there any good programs or websites to handle databases like this?

Is that going to be Iphone based web application or that will be used on other devices as well.
As for me you have specific task for your exact problem to be solved and in this situation better to hire programmer to have everything done for yourself.
