Installing OSCommerce

I have a live website and would like to install OSCommerce. I have a some questions before going ahead with the install:

Where does OSCommerce get installed to and will it affect my current website?

The OSCommerce installer asks me to uninstall PHP 5.0.3, and back up data files manually. Where would I find those?

Will it be possible to use my own SSL cert instead of the Shared SSL?

Thanks for your help!

Where does OSCommerce get installed to and will it affect my current website? I haven't installed OSC through WestHost's sitemanager, but I'm fairly certain that it's installed into a new directory. It shouldn't affect your current website at all.

The OSCommerce installer asks me to uninstall PHP 5.0.3, and back up data files manually. Where would I find those?Do any of the PHP scripts you're using require PHP 5? They may not continue to work if you downgrade to PHP4 (which is required by OSC). Unless you've made changes to the PHP config file, I don't believe you need to backup anything else.
Will it be possible to use my own SSL cert instead of the Shared SSL?Yes, you'll need to install OpenSSL through the SiteManager, though. WestHost has a small tutorial that outlines the process of getting a signed certificate here:SSL Security (http://members.westhost.com/ssl-web-hosting.html). You don't have to use Thawte, you can use any CA you want.
