hvmenu by Ger Versluis 2000 version 5.41 24

I am using the hvmenu by Ger Versluis 2000 version 5.41 24 on my site,
http://www.regardless-shorthairs.com

and would like several of the links in the submenus to open in a new window. Could someone explain (in language a complete novice can understand) what changes I should make to accomplish this, and how I should code this?

instead of this:

Menu9_6_4=new Array("NAVHDA","http://www.navhda.org","",0);

try this:

Menu9_6_4=new Array("NAVHDA","javascript:window.open('http://www.navhda.org')","",0);

This stuff always looks so simple when somebody else does it!

I want the dropdown to popup in the location I specify(when i mouseover the menu). which variables do i have to modify for that. I am using the same menu as discussed above.

I just want to say thanks for contributing to the question... it has really helped me figure out how to get the result I needed... if someone has some corrections to this or suggestions let me know but so far I've tested this and it works .... it's an addon to what speedracer suggested.

Menu12=new Array("Text","javascript:window.open('page.html','','width=500,height=500')","",0);

This will open a new window with the size entered from the hvmenu - a lifesaver

You can see this at work temporarily at www.ontheedgephotography.com/new afterwards it will most likely be online at the main site www.ontheedgephotography.com
