Template Design & Coding For Exciting New Site

1) Project Details:

Summary
5 HTML/CSS pages designed and coded for a new extreme sports website. The site will be a cross between wikipedia (i.e., user edited) and an existing concept of mine, the tricktionary (http://www.board-crazy.co.uk/tricktionary.php) (i.e., a trick dictionary). The new site will cover all extreme sports, not just skateboarding.

Design Brief
I will supply detailed wireframes for all templates.

The site should be a blend of "web 2.0" styles (clean and neat with use of rounded edges, reflections and gradients where appropriate) and the "grungry" look of extreme sports magazines. I'm keen to make sure the site is as user friendly and readable as possible, while still carrying across the visual cues of the extreme sports culture.

In addition to the 5 templates (which will be very similar, by the way), the design also calls for some icon creation to represent the different categories of tricks - 9 for skateboarding, which is what we'll start with before considering other areas.

Coding Brief
Once your designs have been approved by me I'd also like them to be coded using valid and semantic cross blowser compatible XHTML and CSS.

2)Payment Amount
Up to $500 - state your price.

3) Payment method/details
To be agreed. In principle I'm willing to pay in installments once we reach certain milestones, e.g., deposit > design concepts > completed design > completed code > code tested and bugs fixed.

4) Additional Information
Some design work has already been carried out, in terms of generating concepts for the pages, and some of the icons are more or less completed.

It'd really help if you are familiar with the culture of the different extreme sports, or even practice them yourself.

I'm dealing with the databases and server side stuff on my own. However, there is a high chance that if the working relationship between us is good I'll also ask you to design and code the CMS that users will access to add to and edit the site.

In fact, I have many potential projects in the pipeline and the ideal situation as far as I'm concerned is to have one designer who I know and trust that will work on all my projects for me in the future as well.

Are you wanting all of these to look basically the same for the sake of branding with a few slight differences (e.g. snowboarder instead of skateboarder in the banner) or are you wanting 5 completely unique designs?

Good question, thanks.

This job offer only concerns the skateboarding site, for which there are 5 templates:

Homepage
Category
Sub Category (likely very similar to the above)
Trick
Generic Information Page.

The above templates will be scaled across the whole site for the different sports in the fullness of time but I don't want to concentrate on that right now.

However, you are right in your assumption that they will be the same bar slight differences. I envisage basically using the same background colour and layout, with a different accent colour for each sport (yellow on black for skateboarding, blue on black for BMX etc... etc...)

Okay I just PMed you.
