New layout - more confortable dimensions

Hi. So I decided to bring down the dimensions to make the web-site more confortable to use on smaller screens like laptops. The width is now restricted (800px vs 1028px) and naturally I had to layout things a little differently. I had the oportunity to use a friends laptop. Not only did it have a smaller screen, but it also had Netscape 6 and that enabled me to tweak my site to be compatible with it as well. Some of you complained the last time you reviewed this web-site you had to scroll sideways. Well you still have to scroll up or down, but it's a lot more natural. Anyhow interested in your comments.

Much better! It is nice not to have to scroll to the right. Much easier to navigate.

I have two observations. The first being that I would use a diffrent font. Arial, veranda or such. This may be a personal taste on my part but have never been fond of Times. The second is that I think I would box your header with the purple frame and background but then below that create a box framed or unframed that had a solid light color to make it esier to read the ads. This might also highlight the section of the page that changes I almost missed where the catagory shows up when I clicked on them.

thanks for the feedback. Good observations. I did them.

Looks good. I just looked at it again. Much easier to read

Sorry I did not see this the first time but on your layout of each add it has the ID then the title then info then More. Right under that is anouther ID which because I was a "bad" viewer and did not read your entry page I assumed that it belonged to the entry above it. If there is anyway you can move the ID it might be a good idea or put a space after the More so the next ID was not right after it. Is there any way that you can make the Text for link to contact them something other then thier ID. Something like "Click to E-Mail Them". Same for the More could it be "More About Them". Again I did not read your front page at first so only new what they where by clicking on them. I tend to be an adventerous browser but most have to be lead.

Again sorry I did not notice this earlier.

I have lots more comments but they are more personal prefences so won't go into them unless you want them.

Thanks again. I bumped up the text size from 9pt to 12pt. It makes it easier to read. Yeah the space between the bottom of one ad and the beginning of another always bothered me. Yes, I'd like to hear your other thoughts. If anything - it's food for thought.

Yeah, well you gotta read the little that is there to know how to make sense out of it all. And even if you don't when you hover the mouse over the ID a hint is displayed that says "Click to reply" or over 'More' it says "Click to view". How do you deal with people that won't follow directions since they didn't bother to read them in the first place? I'm not singling you out. It's an epidemic!
