Virtual Reseller - should i change to a dedicated server?

Hi,

I cannot decide what to do and hope somebody could give me some advise.
Right now I am hosting about 40 domains on my normal reseller account and pay every month over US$200,- (not on westhost, but I am in the process to change over)

The good thing is that every client has their own controlpanel, webmail and ip address.

I wonder if I should change to a dedicated server - Would my clients still have all the option above and would it be cheaper for me.

Any help, comments or advise on dedicated server i would be grateful.

Thank you

Hi monjaw,

A dedicated server is a great solution for resellers of your size and larger. You could order our Plan 2 server that would give you 20 GIG hard drive and 75 GIG bandwidth. You could set up as many accounts as you have resources for and each account would have its own control panel and webmail access.

Each dedicated server comes with 1 IP address so you can do name based hosting. If you would like each of the domains on your server to have their own IP address, then you could add those for $5 for 5 IP addresses.

You are currently at the point where it will cost about the same with shared hosting and the dedicated server. The question that only you can answer is - how fast are you growing? If you are going to have 10 more clients over the next month, then I would recommend the dedicated server, if you are growing more at a rate of 10 clients per year, then the shared hosting would be a more economical solution until you get a few more clients.

I hope that helps, please let us know if you have more questions.
