Best online resource for computer stuff?

Where do you shop online for your computer stuff? Who has the best deals?

I like buy.com, but they can be pretty spendy at times (you can find good deals and coupons once and a while though).

I'll give the same advice as in your other forum. www.pricegrabber.com rules.

I often use ebay, too. I know you hear all sorts of horror storries about buying computer stuff on ebay, but if you've done your homework and you know a lot about what your buying, you really can't go wrong. Make sure you read the entire seller's page and you buy stuff in sealed retail packages. Many of those auctions are sealed retails with the UPC cut out of the box so they could get a rebate.

Thanks Dromed, I'll check out pricegrabber. Does anyone else have an opinion about this?

I enjoy putting my computers together out of pieces that I lift from public computers, like libraries and computer labs. Sure my system crashes every 20 minutes or so, but those 20 minutes make me feel great.

I agree. My computers are hundreds of times more stable than anything I can get from Dell, IBM, HP, Compaq or any of the other computer makers. That thing is, you'll end up paying more in terms of time and money. If you know about computers, I'd say do that.

Now as for places to buy, I usually stay offline because I need to be about to return stuff easy. OK, now that I have said that . . . If you're in Southern California, nothing beats Fry's Electronics (http://www.outpost.com). I tend to go to the store since one just open right down the street from where I live, but you can probably find to same deals online.

www.newegg.com

They seem to have excellent prices. I bought my monitor and a bunch of parts there. I've heard only good things from them. :)

Yes, I like NewEgg too.
I also like www.tigerdirect.com
You can even sign up to get a free magazine sent each month with all the latest computer stuff. :)

Yep, I like newegg.com too.

Also http://www.directron.com/

Both of these places have given me good prices, parts, and service.

Being a Sys-Admin, I'll agree and say Dvduval is correct. Newegg and Tigerdirect for the most part. Directron has helped me find an odd case or power supply when I needed it. All three have good if not suprisingly fast delivery times as well.

some good looks you got here.. thanks for sharing them..
