I am curious - when setting up accounts, is the space allocation a hard limit or soft? I've seen systems that work both ways, so am curious.
For example, say a reseller account purchased from westhost was 100 mb space. I have three user accounts, each that actively use 20 mb of space. I have sold each of these people accounts with a maximum of 50 mb of space. Would the accounts that I set up take the full 50 mb, or would it only take up what is being actively used?

You can set hard and soft limits. You can also "oversell", meaning you can create limits over what your package limit is (with the assumption that your clients won't use all their space). Only the space used is accounted towards your "100 mb" in your scenario.
