I'd like to install ClamAV on a resold account. Anyone already done this? Any special considerations to keep in mind?
Can we install RPMs or other binary packages on our accounts?

There is no rpm package manager on the Westhost accounts.
You can however install a full set of build tools and build your own binaries. Binaries built on one account can be copied over to other accounts (so you only need one with build tools).
The main (possible) problem that sometimes need working around is the fact that you don't have root permissions on your server, so it is sometimes a bit tricky.

I have installed the GCC tools and know how to compile to binaries. Like you said sometimes not having root access can be a challenge, especially getting a full build and install to complete.
When I get ClamAV working on a VDS I'll post the results.
