refreshing matt's board

Hey I have put matt's wwwboard into an iframe
I set a refresh metatag at 15
I have <meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="expires" content="-1">

yet it still takes about 3 minutes for the page to genuinely update.
IE I post, wait watch the page refresh several times but no new info...keep waiting then it finally appears after 2-3 minutes.

Any clue how I can get this to update faster?

hey,
well this aint really a perl question but nevermind...it cant refresh untill the page has loaded...if the stuff on the page taking more than how long u want it to refresh it will not be on time.
sir p

the page is refreshing/reloading
the posted message(via matt's board) doesn't appear for oh maybe 10 refreshes

not a perl question?
I don't mind using perl, javascript, html...whatever you're referrring to, I just need the page updated quicker.

I used 2 computers at my home
posted the message with computer A
went to the page with computer B and it was there instantly
it didn't appear at computer A though for about 2-3 minutes.

One has netscape one has IE
wonderred if it was browser security/cache issue but...works the same both ways.

I thought in Perl or maybe it's just plain ol' server stuff.
the latest page can sometimes be found at the same URL with an extra /
IE www.mattsboard.com/board.html
www.mattsboard.com//board.html

I tried that and that worked right away for each yet that only involves 2 posts. I was desperate so I tried 3 /// and then 4//// it will only work with 2.
My site is hosted on a Unix server if that helps

I appreciate your time

OK Hey wait can ya tell me this?
I also have Matt's Free 4 all Links page
THAT updates instantly
what type of code do I need to add to the wwwboard?

hey,
ok this may be your host....if your host server slow or just runing a bit behind this is prolly why and not much you can do other than get faster/better host.
sorry:(
