I have created a web page using frontpage and set it up on bt yahoo geocities. I have a friend who has bought a web address www.....co.uk and we need to point that bought address to my free web space.

Who did he register the domain through? They might actually offer a free service where you're able to do this. Alternatively, you can use a service like http://www.everydns.net. After signing up with them and setting up your account on their system, they provide you with the dns server to put on your domain it will foward your domain to the url you specify.
