problem logging into firewalled FTP server using graphical FTP client

I have a web server I need to connect to, but it's firewalled such that it asks for the password twice. This is no problem with command line ftp, but that's not very practical for uploading lots of stuff - what I really want is a graphical FTP client I can use for this, but the ones I usually use (FTP explorer and Leech FTP) aren't setup to prompt for multiple password entry, and so fail to connect.

Anyone know of an ftp client that can be setup to do this?

Yeah I just tried that - I was hopeful because of it's ability to define a custom logon sequence. Problem with that, though, is that it can't get passed the LAN firewall into the outside world ... and doesn't recognise the existence of my modem.

It's really awkward - it has to get through one authenticated firewall just to get outside, and then be able to send the connection details to the remote server in the way I mentioned before. So far, I've tried Cute FTP and something called IFTPPro and neither could get passed the internal firewall

Hmm ...

Have you tried WS_FTP? I seem to recall logging into servers before that ask for the password twice.

That's the one :) Thanks

why not just type in the address bar
ftp://username:pa[email protected]
just a suggestion.
