Coding Programs for Mac

This is a question for Mac Users, thought I'd put it in here, because it will be a hint. What program can I use to code? I get the files from my FTP but then I can't import them into Simple Text... what can I use? I know that FireFly is a mac user. What do you use?

I usually do it in GoLive... the TextEdit for OSX works better then Simpletext in OS 9

All you need is BBEdit. Great little App. Use it all the time. SimpleText blows chunks.

BTW, last I knew, Chen was not a Mac user.

Well where can I get it?

Try VersionTracker.

oh yeh, I forgot about BBEdit since I use GoLive for everything now.
And yes, the old simpletext is just that...simple
I know firefly isn't a mac user for sure.

Where can I get them?

on my mac I use CuteHTML's new Mac version, I signed up for it, when I bought Cute FTP pro, I got it for a discounted price, because I bought the pc product.

It is a very nice program, you should check it out.

You can try Zend Studio from www.zend.com. Maybe you like it, but it's pricey. They have a demo version though, so you can test the product before buy it.

BBEdit Lite is free.

Hey Smoothie where can I get BBEdit Lite? is it available in Mac's Download Section@download.com

Glen and Dark Fusion,
search Version Tracker (http://versiontracker.com) for BBEdit or any html or php editing application. They list freeware, shareware and buy apps. Or go straight Here (http://www.bbedit.com/) for BBEdit if you want. Hope this helps :)
There are also many all listed here:
Apple Downloads (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/) This download page is for OSX

Thanks LittleBit, this program looks very nice and useful

thanks again

Depending on which version of Mac OS you're running (need 10.x for rBrowser), BBEdit works great with a program called rBrowser (more than just ftp).

By double clicking on a file in rBrowser, it automatically opens in the program I've predefined (BBEdit). Doing a regular save in BBEdit automatically saves it back to the server.

My suggestion, if you do a lot of code, the 2 are a must - hand in glove answer.

For rBrowser:
