From their support team:

Open BC's File Viewer.
Select Tools|Pick Rules|New Rules.
Name the rules "PHP" and enter *.php for the file association.
In the General tab, check all of the whitespace options and blank lines.
To ignore PHP comments, click New in the Unimportant text section,
select the delimited category, and enter # to end of line.
Repeat to enter // to end of line, and /* to */ for comments.

Now when you open .php files it should use your settings.


A couple of the instructions were a little bit off. The whitespace options are in the UNIMPORTANT section. And when it says "to end of line" that means check the checkbox.
