Choose one and override the curreent one found in root folder
Rename favicon to favicon.icoIf favicon does not display add this line to your headinclude template (bottom):
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />

I have added this to my forum but it is not showing I have added the code as said to the bottom of the headinclude template, when I was using IE 7 I had the fav icon there now I have gone back to IE 6 I am not able to pick it up at all, it also works fine in Firefox

Sorry works in firefox but not IE....too quick on the trigger :)
