the internet explorer error reads normal ilegal operation box with the detials:
IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module SHLWAPI.DLL at 0177:70bd2d2c.

then you click close and an alert box pops up saying there was an internal error in one of the windows you were using the window will now be closed.

any ideas?

Hmm...not sure it's going to completely solve the problem, but you could try running Internet Explorer repair tool. To do so go to control panel -> dbl click Add/Remove Programs -> click Internet Explorer to highlight it -> click Add/Remove -> click Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer -> and finally, click Ok.

If you receive an error message, click "Details".

If you cannot find Internet Explorer Repair tool via the above process, you can try running it from a command prompt. If all else fails, type the following into the command prompt and click ok (case sensitive):

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

Any help???
