win2k scan disk?

i got a new computer at work with win2k, and i don't see scandisk. anybody know about this? thanks

Been a while since I touched Win2k, but if you right click on your C drive, choose properties, then the tools tab...do you see it there? *I have no idea if that is right, on XP now*

Edit: Are you using an NTFS file system?

i had never tried that! cool.

anyway, i see something called "error checking" which looks like it might be the same thing. if it is, why would they have changed the name?? goofy microsoft.

Yes, XP has the same thing. As to why the name change...I think you already said it...lol :).

Yeah in Win2k they refer to it as "Check Disk" which, way back in the day with dos was a program to fix drive errors but then was supposedly replaced with ScanDisk....
