Attachments per Forum 2.0...

Hi there!:)

This is the Attachments per Forum hack, Version 2.0...

You can find the working Version 1.0, here (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=43241)...

Whats new?

Well...Version 2.0, as requested by Smoothie, has the ability to set attachment sizes per forum, rather than globally...This means that you can increase the size of the attachments allowed for certain forums, and disable attachments in other forums...

THIS HACK IS A BETA! - I am telling you this, so that you are responsible for any damage to your database or forum. Please backup all your data, and follow the instructions carefully. There is also a Reminder in the .txt file...

Enjoy:)

Nice work Satan :)

Thanks:)

I think it all works, but better to be safe than sorry eh?:D

How does this work with the QRB and the attachments box below?

BTW, what if we have installed the other version?

Smoothie :

If you have the other version installed, just leave out anything relating to "forumallowattach"...Or you can use your backed up forum.php file from Version 1.0, and make all the changes to forum.php, not run the first Query again, and leave out the first modifications to newthread.php and newreply.php...

Quick Reply Box - You should just edit the attachment code, and change $maxattachsize to $forumattachsize...

Satan

So, what will happen when they try to attach an image with the QRB attachment box?

Can you allow people to post threads with attachments, but do not allow any users to download, except certain people?

Chris, is this ready to come out of beta yet? I have version 1 installed and need to know what has changed.

Ya, what Bofoo asked.
