OK folks, I'm not a person who's got a lot of time, and I only did this because my forum members wanted it, however I'd like to share this little hack (1 file) with you all.

I'll put it in Beta as it's probably bug ridden, but seems OK to me!

I can't offer support, and I can't guarantee it will work on your vB... read on for my details...

Not tested in safemode, and used only with the attachments stored in the database.

I have vb 3.0.3 and PHP 4.3.8 with GD (2.0.23) bundled on a Linux machine.

The only problem I think I can forsee is the file size check occurs before the image is made smaller (in dimensions) and in some cases I found that imagepng increases the file size on disk. I'm not bothered, but you might be?
