Upgraded to 3.0.4 and CMPS down

My portal went down when I upgraded. Do I have to reinstall or is there something to shortcut the process?

You have to redo all the file edits just like you did when you originally installed it, and everything will come back the way you had it set up.

I also had to run the install script that came with the CMPS and click on the "update" link, which will add back in your templates.

The vBulletin upgrade should not affect custom templates.

Re-apply php code changes, and everything will be normal. Do not run the installation script, this may damage the data already in your database.

The main file affected by the upgrade is the global.php file. Redo the edits to that and everything should be fine but do all other file edits in additon.

Actually the templates are added to the master set, so that's why there's an option in the install file to install only the templates. ;)

You guys should really read more before you upgrade...
Heh, if you knew this before you upgraded, you would apply the changes to the 3.0.5 global.php before uploading it ;)

upload the vba install point your browser to it and choose "install templates only (usefull after upgrading vbulletin)" done => if you correctly edited the necessary files your portal will work again

ok, i am a bit confused...

my portal partially works, but none of the news/calendar etc shows up on it. www.skylinesaustralia.com
