i have a custom skin and it has bottons like usercp links mebers etc but it doesnt work on vbadvnced home i get most buttons to ork but its the ones withe menus like links and search

Those menus should be in the bottom part of the template.

The code for the dropdown menus are in the bottom part of the navbar template.

Edit the links there.

As in if you have this:
