vBGarage - Sharpen Thumbs?

Is there any way to sharpen the thumbnails? I know there is a sharpen function in ImageMagick, but I don't see one in GD.

There is no optional functionality built in, if you are not happy with the results, you'll have to hack it.

We tested thumbs on some pretty diverse pictures of quality and size, we did not see any details that were lacking. This looks pretty darn good from my house. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=1

Perhaps you need a professional quality gallery?

How did you get the big picture on the left in that link you sent me? Yes the thumbs look good, it's just they would look better sharpened. I don't mind hacking (have done quite a bit already to constrain the vertical height of thumbs as well), but I'm just not seeing any way to sharpen in PHP.

RE: pic on left.
The big pic is a custom template mod and it's sorta easy really. Just look at the source. (That's joey's site vBG4.0.0. He has good pics ;) )

Something similar is in the upcoming vbgarage (vBG 4.1.0? Will require 4.0.0 to upgrade.). It will display to everyone with garage permissions and only to guests if popups are turned on for guests.

RE: GD
Well I'm certainly no GD expert. I had a base system to work with and learn from and about.

php.net is my go to for everything. If ya can't find the solution in the GD section, then we may be at our limit for now. Not sure.

I am planning on some sort of image resizing that is setable. I'm just not sure of any details yet. I have to finish the error handling in WYSIWYG first.

Now that I'm on the same page as you, I've picked up a few tips and ideas, thanks.
