other mod usergroup

Hi,

is it still possible to work with moderator in other group id?

if not possible, is there a way that i can modify it to work with other usergroup?

hi,

no i don't think you cando this as aws uses the default id's usergroups and i don't see any good reason to change that either

the reason the i need it to work with other usergroup because i have different mods permission to moderating different section of the forum. therefore different mods will be in different usergroup.

It's quite some work to add more groups in the existing ones. Not that it can't be done, but you have to change several things.

At the moment, I am trying to get a new version out, so I can't help you much, give me some days and PM me with your issue.

sure john thanks. what new features will be in the new version?

It's not a "feature release", it is a maintenance release, which optimizes the SQL queries used to run the warning system. Not great things, I moved the Warning Options, to the $vboptions parameters and in the setting table, instead of using a dedicated table for them. In that way, there are available everywhere, without the need for a query. Also, some other queries were eliminated inside the programs. It's a major rework though, since it requires changes almost everywhere. I got help from Revan (another member here, and the one who was pushing me for this change), but it still was some major work. It is almost ready to be released, I just want to be sure there are no bugs left behind, especially in the installation and update instructions, the programs work OK, I know that.

Folks,

Release 3.4.0 is out and it now supports multiple user-defineable user groups for admins/supermods/mods.
