Halloween Style

okay... This won't compare to all you professionals out there but I made my first style. It really isn't much of a big thing but some color changes and 1-2 template mods. It is compatable with vbPortal also. The original style I started with was that of vbPortal. The images were made with vbutton. The logo was thrown together with some images I found at http://www.halloween-clipart.com/ Same with the footer image. The Pumpkin Smilies/Icons were made by Xelation. Here's a couple of screen shots. Sorry if quality isn't that good I'm new at this.

Not bad, nice job. :)

I Like it.

thanks, you saved me a few hours, i was going to make one myself (much better than mine though)

i got a problem, the header just has this Warning: Failed opening '../vbp_includes.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:') in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/emusa.emunetwork.com/httpdocs/forums/global.php(302) : eval()'d code on line 2

any ideas? besides that it looks good

look in the header or at the php document, probly a incorrect path

someone said i need to have vb portal installed, is that true?

I get the same error :-/

I have updated the zip file to include 2 style files halloween_vbb (for those with only vbb installed) and halloween_vbp for those that have vbPortal installed. Sorry about the confusion.

that fixed it, thanks

attached is a flashing pumpkin i made, i use it for on.gif

another thing, getting a small syntax error from soemwhere

thnx!!!

I know it's after Halloween, but thought I'd add this anyway. I'm a newbie to styles, though. I've tried three times to input it. On the third try, my screen shows the style colors, but not the images.

So, I ftped all the images into the same folder the .style sheet is and that didn't do it either. But I don't want to import them to "images" cuz I don't want to overwrite things that already have the same filename.

nope u are doing it wrong

ftp the images into this folder forums/images/themes/halloween/

thats where they are linked to

a good way to fix a problem like that, is to "right-click" the image, and click properties, and see where it is linked to

Thanks, that helped, but I'm still not getting it right.

Now, some of the images are coming thru, but not all of them. I've trashed my cache, but that didn't help the problem. I checked that the filenames on the unloaded images are on the server -- they are there, but not being loaded.

Will continue to work on this and let you know.

use what i said, right click and find out where the dead image is linked to

i bet one of the things not showing up is the smilies or icons

if i recall, u have to upload them to the right DIR, so right click and find out what it is

this was a very nice style, why dont ppl attach, GOD

anyways i think i still have it somewhere im goig to search for it, i swear, attach ppl!

-edit-

i did find it however, it dies trying to install the style, since it was made for versions under 2.3.0, so it doesnt use the right templates and everything, i duno i tried can anyone else get this to work was a very cute style, its attached here

doesnt show up for me...

like i said if ur using over ver 2.3 it doesnt seem to work

This just a blue style with holloween pictures?
