Massive update
After spending abit after beta 7's release ive TOTLAY redone the style to look much more like windows xp :)
take a look at the live demo :)
all the images are in the zip along with the templates, the new pacakge that is there is for BETA 7 ONLY.
the templates will not work with pre b7 vb3 systems
i have also included the psd's for buttons the psd for the logo file is in the old zip.

It looks good. But with the header, you should make the banner fit the length of the navbar. It works better that way, and will look better too.

i develop in 1600x1200 and i lowered the button size once, if you remove the start button(i dunno if thats in that style i released) it shouldnt be a problem on low res boxes

i named the subdirectories on the server as you did - now i don't now which directories to set in the style manager.
some are of course obvious but then misc, reputation and so on?
the style works but most of the icons are missing because i don't know the correct subdirs!

Ok, sorry to bother you again, but ther ain't no buttons subdir in your zip file.
i created
attach
avatars
icons
polls
posttree
ranks
smilies
and so on. so, there is no misc or buttons subdir!
when i set the button images folder to my images/xpstyle folder, then nothing happens!
i get all the colors and the winxp logo but no top buttons or post,edit reply buttons.
so, what am i doing wrong here??
i'm using beta 7 - could it be that it ain't working with this version?

Ok, ok I got it now! The Luna set works fine - the XP blue one didn't fit. sorry to bother you so often! ;-)
my only question would be if you downloaded the beta 7 or beta 6 versions ;)
I made a fresh installation of a beta 7.
the one with the longer name is the beta 7 version :)
Style looks absolutely great! Thanks for the contribution to vBT. It does not fit the rest of our site, so I will not use it... though if we ever come up with a software orientated site, we'll use this skin! Many thanks again!

Hi there. I have been hunting for a style to use with my recently converted phpbb-VB3 RC2 forum and stumbled across your website last night. I love your dark style/theme and noticed that you have it running on RC2 as well. Could you possibly tell me if this means that your style you have attached here works properly with RC2, or if you have modified your style just for your site atm and have not made the updated version available?

Sadly i found some people pirating my unfinished style :( i had to deal with them which has taken me a great deal of time.
But we can still expect to see your (wide) XP style to be released? Free? Or buckets of money needed?

I am sad to report that i am getting a bit pessimistic about the XP-release ever seeing the light of day, it has been "postponed" so many times already.

LOL, you're certainly demanding... You could always make it yourself, or pay someone to make it. I'm sure Zachery has a job and/or school to deal with, so completing a free style for you is somewhere near the bottom of his todo list I would imagine.
Raitsa I have to agree with OGT.
If he were being paid for the style then it might be a lot higher on his list of priorities and also do not forget he is a vbulletin staff member as well so his time will be split mainly over at the support forum.
In fact Zachery didn't even have to release it.
So give him a break.
Guys, i think i did not manage to make my point the way i wanted to (english is not my native language).
I was trying to be polite to Zachery and wanted to keep this thread alive by telling Zachery that me and many other ppl would love to see the style finished & released.
I really appreciate all the great work Zachery has done to the VB community, the only "nag" i had was the sorta "promised" but postponed release dates of the XP style.
I sure know how hard it is to make plans/schedules happen in a hobby.

Help!!!! Please!!! I installed this style (which is pretty sweet) but I'm having some issues with all images showing up. Could someone check out my site mofohead.com (http://www.mofohead.com) i would appreciate it. I installed this style and another called extreem and it looks like I'm having problems with the same images on both styles. Also, when I switch to the XP style, the drop down box to select styles is gone....any ideas??? Thanks in advanced and I apologize for my ignorance....I'm learning as I go.

Yes i do plan on releasing it, altho the continued bugging me over IM networks and email and PM's here are not making me such a happy person, i will complete this when i have the time to do so or some one wants to shell out the cash for my time to finish.

Off all the XP styles ive never been contactd, ive left Microsofts copyright where nessary.
