View Your own posts

Not sure if it's been done before, but this simple template modification will add a link to your own posts under the 'quick links' menu.

Sorry but the link title isn't fully phrased, I just can't be bothered with all that malarky.

In your navbar template:

Find:

<if condition="$vboptions['enablesearches']"><tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getnew">$vbphrase[new_posts_nav]</a></td></tr></if>

Beneath it add:

<if condition="$vboptions['enablesearches']"><tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="search.php?do=process&exactname=1&searchuser=$bbuserinfo[username]&showposts=1">View Your Posts</a></td></tr></if>

It's really that simple ...

Thanks, I've installed it. :)

Thanks clicks install

any chance of a screenshot? I'm not entirely sure what this does...

Looked good and members liked it but was forced to remove since this, and I have no idea why, clashed with other stuff and caused "last posts" to disappear and a non-searchable search box to appear for non-members on the index page

My VB is not standard so a sreenshot from me would not look right

It adds a new link to the "quick links" menu called "View your posts"

When a user clicks it, a list of all the posts they have ever made will be visible ... It works using the forum search function.

Sweet hack! Simple and clean! Works great on vb.3.5.1.

Peace!

J.

Installed on 3.5.2 thanks!

Installed on 3.5.2 thanks!Same here. Works great!

Sweet...

Installed this in 3.0.7 and now in 3.5.4. Was so green before I didn't realize I needed to click the Install button, so I did it now, almost 9 months later.

Thanks. Sweet and simple.

Lovely. Works well. Setup instructions are a bit different now in 3.5.1 (only inasmuch as the default layout of the drop-down lists seems different; the code that needs inserting is identical).

Many thanks.

Works fine in VB 3.6.
