What program would you recommend, if I'd like to convert AVI to WMV 8/9? Well, that's my question really :D.

I've had good results doing that using premiere.. they have a fully functional 30 day trial version you can try

By the way, If you already have the Windows Movie Maker installed on your system, that would convert .avi to .wmv, also.
Well, I just wanted to inform you all that I tried Microsoft's Windows Media Encoder 9 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/encoder/default.aspx) and I must say that it's best of all others I've tried. Worth checking out! :thumbsup:
