Mouseover Sound Effect - Help!

Re - Cut & Paste onMouseover/onClick sound effect as shown on:

http://javascriptkit.com/script/script2/soundlinks.html

Firstly, Im new to all this and know very little about scripts in general, but I do understand their importance and my knowledge is picking up slowly but surely..

All I want to do is this - have my buttons (graphic rollovers, not hovers) make a sound when the cursor moves across them. That is all I want - for now anyway!

I tried the above but it doesn't seem to work. (In the words of us Scots "I cannae get the matches tae light!")
I know my limited knowledge is to blame..

Come on you guys (general term!)
Enlighten me and help me move up a stage in web design education. It would make me soooo happy!

The link you posted doesn't work and even were it a good link we still couldn't do more than guess at what's wrong without a link to the page you used it in.

Thanks Roy. I know this link doesn't always work but all I did was copy and paste so it's not my doing! Dunnow whats wrong with it - works sometimes it seems.

If you can get to it now we can take it from there maybe?

Ta for yer help.

....just tried it again and it aint working. I give up. Just forget it.

Wel i see that the problem with your link is that you used the link button in the forum but failed to follow the instructions. I found I can reach that link by cutting and pasting the text of the link into the browser.

I also don't hear sounds on that web site but a quick check of my browser options show that I have the option "Play Sounds in web pages" turned off. Have you checked that option in your own browser?

Thanks for that info Roy. I did check and all was well.

Have to let you (and any other interested parties) know that I have solved my sound effect problem - I simply used Macromedia Fireworks! Thats all. Obviously Front Page is a wee bit behind in the basic effects department!
I've been a wee bit scared of Dreamweaver even though I've had it for over a year, but I've gained a lot of confidence in web building by using FP 2000 so it has done it's job well. Time to move on - DW3 here I come!

Thanks so much!!

(Oops!! I meant Dreamweaver, not Fireworks!! Sorry folks!)
