FLASH MP3 sound Export

Ok, because im a fool... Ive lost the original file i used for a sound bed for a flash project of mine. Can i export the mp3 files out back into an editable form? I threw it in there originally as a click track to edit to, but now want to editi it, and cant get at it.

any help would be super cool.

thanks

John

Okay, do this:

Open up Flash, (presuming that it is closed)

Press [ CTRL + L ] to get up the library.

Go to your mp3 file.

Then right click it, and click Edit with MPlayer2, or Edit With...

That should export it to whatever you want, all you need to do then is save it.

Have fun!

:D

i tired that one... no luck... it tels me that the file does not exist. Which is true, because ive lost it somehow, but i still have the imported version in flash that works fine. thanks for the thought though...

Unless you play the flash file, and record the sound with some recorder, you can't really do anything much more.

managed to solve my own problem! oh well, ill post the solution here in case otheres run into it.

To export audio from flash,

open a blank new FLA and then drag the audio from the old library into a new layer on the blank FLA.

Add enough frames to include the whole song, or whatever portion you want.

Then choose eport movie and choose to set the format type as WAV or AIF.

This dosent actually get me back to MP3 but i can get there from here.

thanks for your help tho.
