Fireworks menus and flash ??

Hey guys !!!!!!!!!!

:D

I have a set of menus on a page built using the function in Fireworks and an interactive flash map which I built.

The problem is though that the menus do not appear over the top of the flash they appear behind (rather annoying).
How can I fix this ??

thanks very much

bye bye ;)

Are you building the final product in flash or Dreamweaver?

If Dreamweaver: are you using layers or tables to hold your menus?

If you have a link or a file I can help a little better as well, I just can't visualize what type of page your creating and how your doing it.

Hi brady

The finished page is being built in dreamweaver.

I have the navigation menu down the left hand side. And the sub-menus open out from the right of the menus buttons.

The flash animation is to the right, situated in the main content part of the page. So when the sub-menus are activated they cover part of the flash, only they fall behind it.

P.s The menus are built in fireworks using the menu builder gizmo, so they are inside divs (99% sure of that without looking).

I tried setting z-index's but it didn't seem to work unless im not doing it right.

Any ideas ??
