extracting souunds from flash files

How can you extract .wav files from .swf files?

thanks for the help

Hmm, unless you made the .swf file, I am pretty sure any way of doing it is illegal. When you make a .swf your molding everything together (much like a code compiler) and there is no legal way to extract bits and pieces.

Is there a song or something that is in a flash file and you want to know what it is? If so you may post a link and maybe someone can help your from there.

There are also tons of sound clips that are free for use over at http://www.flashkit.com . Maybe you can find something similar?

i got the files from the flash kit web site but i downloaded the flash track files but now i need the .wav files and i have no idea which ones i downloaded and which section i got them from.

Hmm, I see. You probably already thought of this, but did you try doing a search on the file name of the .swf? Odds are the .swf is the same name as the .wav...

i wish it was that easy all the "flashtrack" files are pre made .swf files with the wavs in them and they are all called data.swf wich is nice and convenient, for the prgram that uses them but not if you wanna track the wav files of them.

but thanks for the idea, i came across a prgram called "swf extractor" which does what i need.

thanks again tho

there is a way, connect the headphone socket into the microphone socket via a wire and use some microphone recording software.

scroots

yes i was gonna try something like that. dont really want to but i might have to.:D

There's a program called SWF Extract which can extract the pictures and sounds from swf files - http://www.globfx.com/products/swfre/

i came across that one but u need to register it and i didnt look any futher in to that cos i only needed 3 wav files and i dout i will ever need it again. but thanks for the reply tho. i have done it now with a simular program.
