Should I Invest My Time?

I'm currently a high school student doing work experience for someone, still learning, and can't exactly do full time work at the moment. So i was thinking about launching a service that is a bit more to the meaning of "myspace". However I don't want to have to spend hours maintaining it but I don't really want to make money either, pretty much break even. So anyways, i was thinking about having a website that is all white (or a background image for yourself) and it being like a big page where you can just stick anything. But the catch is you have a pixel limit. And you can buy more pixels. It would be developed in php/mysql/javascript/css and html. You think it is worth investing time into?

You mean something like this? http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/
Each square is 1 dollar. That may be a little over the top but I kind of see what you are saying.

no not quite, more personalized so you get 480,000 pixels to start with and can add/remove stuff as much as you want and if you dont want to remove it but want to keep it and have more you can buy another 240,000 to go with it. Until you have enough. It'll have pre-built functions like add photo, video what ever, but it'll also have custom html function aswell.

That’s a nice idea. I guess one can’t exactly know whether this will be worth investing the time. It can pay out - make you even, or even make you a millionaire - but I think most entrepreneurs that have an idea are just daring enough to try it. And when it fails they move on with something different.
If it’s only the time you invest, and not a lot of money then yeah, give it a shot, man! :)

Ok, i'll get started after my portfolio layout, current work experience project and other helping hand project. You think (now I know about non-js users) I should use drag and drop at all? It could make it better for the user...
